Raphaela "Peggy" Peterson, age 87, died on Monday at her home in Fords. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and had resided in Fords for the past 60 years.

Raphaela was a Homemaker who devoted her time to her husband and family. She was a graduate of the School of Needle Trades in New York City. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She also enjoyed sewing and was a fan of the New York Mets.

She was predeceased by her sister, Josephine Trapani.

Surviving are her beloved husband of 63 years, Alfred "Bob" Peterson, her daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and Bob Peterson of Fords and Joann and Steven Grillo of Randolph, NJ, her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Eileen Peterson of Sausalito, CA and her grandson Michael Grillo. A devoted and proud wife, mother and friend her memory will live on in everyone she touched.
