Ramona Ortiz, 81, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 15, 2026, in Perth Amboy, NJ. She was surrounded by the love of her family.

Ramona was born on March 7, 1945, in Puerto Rico. After moving to the United States, she settled down in Perth Amboy where she met and married Marcos Ortiz. Ramona worked as a certified home health aid and was a devout parishioner of Pentecostal Church of God.

Ramona is predeceased by her beloved husband, Marcos Ortiz; and her father, Ramon Casablanca.

Ramona is survived by her children, Maria Z. Serrano, Wanda E. Serrano, Rebeca Serrano, and Jessica Ortiz; her mother, Monserrate Ramos; her siblings, Carmen Montero, Marta Arzuaga, Ramon Casablanca, and Frank Casablanca; her 8 grandchildren, her 9 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 between the hours of 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Pentecostal Church of God, 288 Market Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861. Funeral services will begin the next morning, Thursday, October 22, 2026 at church at 9:00 AM. Interment will follow at Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy, NJ. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Ramona’s memory may be made out to American Veterans Association.
