Ramon "Salvador" Guzman, age 94, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on September 21, 2025. He was born on March 22, 1931, in La Ortega de Moca, Dominican Republic to the late Nicasio and Matilde Guzman. Ramon grew up in Dominican Republic and worked as an agriculturist before moving to Perth Amboy with his wife in 1991. After settling in Perth Amboy, Ramon worked at Schott Brothers, Inc.

Ramon is predeceased by his beloved wife of 68 years, Rafaela Guzman (2019); and his son, Carlos Guzman (2004).

Surviving Ramon are his children, Jose, Lorenzo, Teresa, Carmen, Maritza, Isabel, Marlin, and Roque; his 21 beloved grandchildren; and 36 beloved great-grandchildren.

Visitation will take place between the hours of 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at the Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services the next morning on Monday, September 29, 2025 will begin at 9:00 AM. A procession will then follow from the funeral home to La Asuncion Catholic Church for a 10 AM Funeral Mass, located at 777 Cortlandt St., Perth Amboy. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery, Oregon Ave., Fords.

Ramon "Salvador" Guzmán, de 94 años, falleció en la paz del Señor, rodeado de su familia, el 21 de septiembre de 2025. Nació el 22 de marzo de 1931 en La Ortega de Moca, República Dominicana, hijo de los difuntos Nicasio y Matilde Guzmán. Creció en República Dominicana y trabajó como agricultor antes de mudarse a Perth Amboy con su esposa en 1991. Tras establecerse en Perth Amboy, Ramon trabajó en Schott Brothers, Inc.

Estuvo casado 68 años con su amada esposa Rafaela Grullón (fallecida 2019). Procrearon 9 hijos: Jose, Lorenzo, Carlos (fallecido 2004), Teresa, Carmen, Maritza, Isabel, Marlin y Roque; con una prole de 21 nietos y 36 bisnietos.

El velatorio se llevará a cabo entre las 2:00 PM y las 7:00 PM del domingo 28 de Septiembre de 2025 en la Funeraria Flynn and Son/Mitruska, ubicada en 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. El cortejo fúnebre comenzará a las 9:00 AM de la mañana, el lunes 29 de Septiembre de 2025. Se realizará una procesión desde la funeraria hasta la Iglesia La Asunción para la misa de cuerpo presente a las 10 AM, ubicada en 777 Cortlandt St., Perth Amboy. La inhumación se realizará en el Cementerio de Nuestra Señora de Hungría, ubicado en Oregon Ave., Fords.
