Rachel Halliwell, 85, of Edison, Passed away on April 11, 2017 surrounded by her family at home. Rachel was a lifelong resident of Edison.  She was a communicant of Transfiguration of the Lord Parish of Guardian Angels, a graduate of Metuchen High School Class of 1948.  She loved and cherished her time spent with her family.

Rachel is predeceased by her sister-in-law Janet White.

Rachel is survived by her husband George of 67 years; her three daughters, Donna Casey and her husband Tim of AZ, Rachelle "Shelly" Ligato of Sayreville, and Denise Halliwell-DeSantis and her husband Bruce of Lanoka Harbor; five grandchildren, Jeffrey, Michael, Bryan, Michael, and Dana; two great-grandchildren, Samantha, and Gabriella. She is also survived by her brothers, Andrew White and sister-in-law Caroline of Edison and Samuel White of Metuchen.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at 9:30 AM from Flynn and Son / Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, followed by a 10 AM Funeral Liturgy at Transfiguration of the Lord Parish of Guardian Angels, Edison. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen. Visitation will be held on Monday form 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the funeral home.
