Obituary of Phyllis M. Kovy



Phyllis M. Kovy, 68, of Fords, passed away Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. Mrs. Kovy was born in Jersey City to the late John and Pauline Pranzo Toscano and had previously lived in Kearny and Bayonne before moving to Fords thirty two years ago. She was employed by AMC Aviation 12 as a greeter and ticket taker in Linden for the last thirteen years, previously Phyllis worked for Prudential Insurance for twenty plus years . She was a member of the Our Lady of Peace RC Church, Fords and the Our Lady of Peace Home School Association.



Phyllis loved toTravel, movies, photography and had a large Doll collection. Mrs. Kovy was predeceased by a brother Frank Toscano, a sister Theresa Toscano and a nephew louis Delima.



She is survived by her loving husband of thirty three years, James Kovy, her son, James A. Kovy & Wife Melissa Kaminski of Fords, her sister, Anita Salerno of Avenel, a nephew, Jeffrey Delima of Fords, a niece, Leilani Lopez of Kissimmee, FL, and a nephew, John Tocano of Toms River.



Funeral services will be held Monday 10:00 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Followed by a 10:30 am mass in the Our Lady of Peace Churc, Fords. Interment will follow in the Cloverleaf Memorial Park Cemetery in Woodbridge. Visitation hours will be held Sunday from 2 - 6 pm.
