Phyllis Hansen, 98, of Edison, passed away Monday, March 22, 2021 in Toms River, where she resided for the past 3 years.

Born in Grafton, New Hampshire to the late Adam and Jessie Schantz, Phyllis was raised in Perth Amboy and was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School. She settled in Edison in 1948 with her husband, Robert O. Hansen, Sr. where they raised their family.

A long-time member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Perth Amboy, Phyllis was also a member and Past-President of St. Anne's Altar Guild. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Edison Senior Citizens and the Edison Social Club. Phyllis was an excellent baker and an avid golfer.

Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Robert O. Hansen, Sr. in 2009. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara H. Piereth of Rock Hill, SC, her son, Robert O. Hansen, Jr. and wife Victoria of Ortley Beach, NJ, as well as 4 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit Wednesday, March 24 ^th from 3:00pm to 6:00pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, March 25 ^th at 11:00am at St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 188 Rector Street, Perth Amboy, followed by burial in St. Peter's Episcopal Church Cemetery.
