Philomena DeCasas, 84, passed peacefully on December 3, 2023 at the Venetian Care and Rehabilitation Center in South Amboy.

Philomena was born in and raised in Perth Amboy. She was the daughter of the late Elvira and John Marchinko, Sr.  She was a 1958 graduate of Perth Amboy High School.  She later married Auguste (Gus) DeCasas and they made their home in the Keasby Section of Woodbridge Township.

In addition to her parents, Philomena was preceded in death by husband Auguste in 1991, her sister Elizabeth Parma, and her niece Tina Smith.

She will be missed and forever in the memories of her sister Elvira Beichner, her husband Delbert or Pennsylvania, and her brother John Marcinko, Jr, and his wife Angel of Perth Amboy.  She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, one great-great nephew, and many cousins.
