Obituary

Philip Gouveia, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on July 18, 2024. He leaves behind his loving wife, Maureen, and his children, Michele Leach, Matthew, and Michael. Philip was also blessed with beloved daughters-in-law Cassandra and Claudia, and six cherished grandchildren: Sam, Jack, Noah, Claire, Nathan, and Hailey.

Philip had a distinguished career as an engineer, working for Becton Dickenson and Verizon. He was an avid sports fan, passionately supporting the Dallas Cowboys, the LA Dodgers, and the NY Knicks. His love for sports extended beyond being a fan; he took great joy in coaching his children in both baseball and basketball and was a dedicated attendee at his grandchildren's sporting events.

Philip loved vacationing with his family in Florida and had a passion for running, competing in numerous events. He also enjoyed gardening, taking particular pride in his annual tomatoes. Known for his friendly nature, Philip often walked around his neighborhood, making friends and earning the affectionate title of the "Mayor of Menlo Park Terrace."

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
