Peter J. Rommel, 63, of Edison, passed peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his beloved wife Kim at his side, on Sunday evening, November 17, 2019.
"His family was his life and his wealth."
Peter worked hard all his life but always found time to enjoy his family and friends. Sunday family dinners were the best part of his week. He loved watching his kids and then his grandsons, playing sports and acting in plays. He enjoyed family vacations down at Long Beach Island each year.
Peter was very proud of his backyard and koi pond. On weekends, you would always hear him bright and early working out in the backyard with country music on. For the last 14 years, Peter loved to go on cruises with family and friends. He loved the peacefulness of the Caribbean.
With an infectious smile and a great laugh Peter could always brighten someones day and always found time to help others in need.
For anyone who really knew Peter and the life that he had, through all the ups and downs, he always made the best of everything. You will never know a finer man.
Peter was a life long diesel mechanic, most recently employed with Lease Line Inc. of North Brunswick.
He was predeceased by his father, Peter "Frisco" Rommel, his mother, Patricia Rommel Toth and brother, Donald Rommel.
