Peter J. Capitano, Jr., 53, of Woodbridge, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2018 at home. Mr. Capitano was born in Bayonne to Peter J. and the late Marie Capitano and had lived all of his life in Woodbridge Township.

He was employed by the Woodbridge Township Board of Education as a carpenter for twenty eight years before retiring in 2015.

He is survived by his loving wife of eighteen years, Sharon Capitano, his father Peter J. Capitano Sr. of Woodbridge, his sister, Jeannine Ryan and her husband Patrick Ryan of Woodbridge, a step daughter, Alyssa Reyes and her husband Ramiro of Woodbridge, three grandchildren and a nephew Ryan Capitano.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 9:15 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Followed by a 10:00 am mass in the St. Cecelia's RC Church in Iselin. Private cremation will follow in the Rosehill Crematory in Linden. Visitation hours will be held Monday from 5 to 8 pm.
