Peter E. Battoglia, 82, of Wayne, passed away at the JDT Nursing Home in Lincoln Park on June 30th, 2024. He was born on April 3rd, 1942 in Newark. Peter worked as an assembler for Wallace and Tiernan in Belleville for over 30 years. Peter was also a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving from 1961 to 1965.

Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Luis J. and Violet Battoglia, and a cousin Jean Schaefer.

He is survived by Jean's children and caregivers Barbara Wood of Aberdeen, Theresa Chirichella of Old Bridge, Linda Schaefer of Monroe, and Joseph Schaefer of Clark.  He is also survived by his best friend of 15 years, Mary Rose Ventre.

Visitation will be held at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, located at 23 Ford Ave, Fords, NJ, on July 13th, 2024 from 8-9 a.m. The funeral will begin at 9 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a 9:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
