Peter J. Alexander, 90, of Iselin, passed away on May 3, 2025, at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was born in St Patrick, Grenada on December 31, 1934. Peter worked at the Sunoco Can Corporation for over 35 years and proudly retired as an Inspector.   He was a communicant of Our Lady of Hungary Church in Perth Amboy where he served as an Usher. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching the NY Mets, Turner classic movies and gardening.   Peter loved visiting his birthplace of Grenada where he always called "home".

Peter was predeceased by his loving wife, Avis D. Alexander in 2015; three brothers: Sutherland, Kenneth, and Eric Alexander; and two sisters: Louise and Florence Alexander.

He is survived by two daughters, Debra Howard, and her husband, Dennis, of Concord, N.C. and Dorothy Alexander-Wardally, and her husband, Arthur, of Elmont, NY; a son, Trevor Alexander, of Iselin, NJ; four grandchildren: Schemicah, Christopher, Dominique, and Dennis Jr.; great grandson, Cayden Thornton; two brothers, Dunbar, and Payne Alexander; one sister, Lillian Alexander; niece Cathy-Ann Alexander and a host of very special nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Thursday, May 15, 2025, 6-8 pm at the Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services will begin on Friday, May 16,2025, at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a 10 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Hungary Church in Perth Amboy. Interment will be in Our Lady of Hungary Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Peter's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
