Pedro A. Velez 68 of Perth Amboy, entered into eternal rest, Friday at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. He was born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico and has resided in Perth Amboy for the past 50 years.Pedro was a laborer at V S Galvanizing in Perth Amboy of 15 years before retiring in 2010.
He was predeceased by his step son Antonio Torres. Pedro is survived by his wife Nilda Velasquez Velez, his daughter Hortencia Velez of Perth Amboy, his step children Ana Daisy Torres, Ivette Padilla, Evelyn Colon, and Angel Torres and his grandson Ellis Drummond. He is also survived by his sisters Norma Rodriguez, Gladys Rosa, and Iris Velasquez.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 AM at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy. Interment will be in Alpine Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
