Paul Herman Nalepa, 76, of the Fords section of Woodbridge Twp., passed suddenly at his home on Saturday, February 1, 2025.

He was born in Bronx, NY and had  resided most of his life in Fords.

He graduated from the Middlesex County Vocational High School in Perth Amboy, with the "Class of 1966".

He was a Vietnam Veteran, proudly serving his country in the U.S. Navy.

He retired 14 years ago, after being employed for over 10 years as a Computer Technician for United Parcel Service in Morristown, NJ.

Paul had a special place in his heart for animals. He also was an avid motorcycle enthusiast belonging to area motorcycle clubs.

He was a skilled diesel mechanic, who enjoyed restoring antique cars and motorcycles, as well as flying model airplanes.

He was a member of American Legion Post # 45 in Perth Amboy.

Paul was predeceased by his beloved parents, Walter and Eleanor Nalepa and his sister, Debby Weston and his former wife, Brenda Kelly.

He leaves behind his beloved son, Todd  (& his wife Mui) Nalepa of Perth Amboy, his former wife, Nancy Hmieleski of Perth Amboy, his four siblings; Mary Chiucchi of Edison, Richard Nalepa of Metuchen, Rev. Nancy Nalepa-Skibo of Perth Amboy, and James Nalepa of Woodbridge. He also leaves behind his step brother, Bill Moyle of Metuchen, his step daughter, Shannon Kelly of Pennsylvania and his "very faithful companion", "Champ" an American Pit Bull Terrier.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 4 pm until 7 pm, with a prayer service at 6:15 pm followed by Navy military honors at 6:45 pm at the Flynn and Son/ Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.

Cremation services will follow privately.
