Patricia Swallick, age 68, of Hopelawn, NJ, loving mother of three, and wife of Michael Swallick, passed away in the early hours of July 1, at JFK University Hospital.
Patricia was born in 1954 in Newark, NJ, but spent a majority of her childhood in Menlo Park Terrace. She grew up surrounded by her loving family – her mother Irene, father Joseph, two brother Michael and Joseph, and many loving aunts (Jean Bugara), uncles, cousins, and friends. She attended Woodbridge High School, graduated in 1972, and went on to become a beautician. She later went on to work at Bradlees, Haband, and Target.
Patricia married the late Michael Swallick in 1976 and took up residence in Edison, shortly after moving to Hopelawn. She is survived by her two brothers: Michael Czarnik and wife Sue; and Joseph Czarnik; her three children: Michael Swallick of Delaware; Joseph Swallick and his wife Faizah of Toms River, and Michelle Swallick, of Hopelawn; eight grandchildren: Ava, Aiden, Hailey, Abby, Amiya, Ryan, Kaden, and Adrian; any many nieces and nephews. Patricia was predeceased by her husband in 2021.
Patricia was such a kind and beautiful soul. She loved her family more than anyone would know. She was always there to help, listen, or lend a hand – she was a caregiver by nature and it showed every day. Not only a caregiver to her friends and family, she was a avid lover of animals and was always willing to take one in that needed some love. Okay, sometimes one meant some, but that was her calling and that is what made her who she was. Patricia always saw the best in people and has had such a positive impact on others. She was so proud of her family, and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories.
