Patricia Loretta "Patty" (Geiling) Marciniak, 84, of Sayreville, passed away in Matawan on Friday, December 3, 2021. She previously resided in Edison, Perth Amboy, Mystic Island, and most recently, in Hopelawn and Sayreville.

She was born in Perth Amboy on April 23, 1937 to Henry George Geiling and Genevieve O'Reilly. She was a graduate of the Perth Amboy High School Class of 1954. After graduating from Katherine Gibb, she worked at General Cable in Perth Amboy until she married Bob Marciniak on March 5, 1961. When her children were older, she returned to the workforce as the office manager of Karkus Press in Perth Amboy and Prince Speedy in South River.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert E. Marciniak, Sr., her son, Robert E. "Bobby" Marciniak, Jr., her daughter-in-law, Lori Sue (Sipe) Marciniak, and her grandson, Nicolas Robert Betancourt.

Patty is survived by her children, Joan and David Betancourt, Karen and Paul Tatarka, and William "Bill" Marciniak; her grandchildren, Danielle and Damien Marciniak-Zuccarelli, Andrea Marciniak, William Marciniak, Stephen and Kelly Tatarka, Patrick Tatarka, and Emily Tatarka; her great-grandchildren, Anthony, Amy, and Alice Tatarka; her siblings, Carole and Edward Szep, Jeanne and Andy Romano, and Henry and Lorraine Geiling; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Her family expresses heartfelt thanks to Patty's caregiver, Cecelia, who cared for mom during this last year.

Patty loved all sorts of animals, trips to Atlantic City, watching the swans in the lagoon behind her Mystic Island home, making jam, canning and sewing. Many dogs are warm and cozy in her fleece coats!

Visitation will take place on Friday, December 10, 2021 from 1-4 pm and 6-8 pm.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 10:00 am from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ, 08863. Interment will follow at St. Stephen's Cemetery, Keasby, NJ.
