Patricia M. Krehel peacefully passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.

Born and raised in Newark NJ, Patricia attended Blessed Sacrament High School. During her career she held several different positions. She was employed as a Line Worker at Tung-Sol Light Bulb Filament Company in Newark, she served as an Amputee Transporter at St. Michael's Hospital, a Proof Checker at Bank of America, and later in life she worked as a Home Health Caregiver. She was one of four children of the late Peter and Marian Broderick Norton.  On April 20, 1963 she married the love of her life, Joseph Krehel.  Together, they raised their two children Christopher and Marty.

Patricia adored her family.  Spending time with her siblings, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews meant the world to her. Patricia was a devout Catholic with an especially deep devotion to the Virgin Mary. Patricia was also a lover of cats. Everyone in the family can remember her always having a cat. She even rescued a few strays from around Menlo Park Mall years ago.

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her sister Barbara Everett.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Joseph and by her loving family: son Christopher and his daughter Kate; son Marty, his wife Mariana, and their son Marty, Jr. (MJ); beloved companion Lee Poole; sister Mary Lou Franzetti; and brother Martin Norton.

Friends may call at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ on Tuesday December 13, 2022 from 6:00pm – 9:00pm.  A Memorial Mass will be offered on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at 10:30 am from Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church Fords.
