Patricia A
Billig
July 26, 1940 – January 10, 2026
Patricia A. Billig, born in Perth Amboy, NJ, and a longtime resident of Edison, NJ, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at the age of 85, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Bendas) Homusiok and was predeceased by her beloved husband, Raymond.
She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Eileen Luongo, and brother-in-law, James Luongo, and was an adoring aunt to James J. Luongo and his wife, Karolina; great-niece Katherine; and niece Jaime Luongo, all of whom she cherished.
Patricia was a retired teacher in the Marlboro Township School District and a proud graduate of Perth Amboy High School, Class of 1959. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Notre Dame College of Staten Island and her Master's degree from Wagner College. A woman of faith, she was a lifelong parishioner of St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, where she enjoyed sharing her talents as a volunteer with the choir and Altar Society.
A world traveler and a true Leo, Patricia took great pleasure in beautifully decorating for and hosting the holidays. She enjoyed dining out, fashion, music, and the arts—particularly film and Broadway—and lovingly doted on her pets.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in the name of Patricia A. Billig, benefiting St. John the Baptist Orthodox Church, 145 Broad Street, Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.
