Obituary

Paris Warner Lobdell, 82, of Whiting, died January 9, 2011, at Community Medical Center.

Born October, 29, 1928 in Newark, he has resided in Whiting for the last ten years. Prior to his move to Whiting, Paris resided in Metuchen for 45 years. He was a fan of the New York Giants and Yankees, a member of Amvets, and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Paris was predeceased by his son-in-law, George Poko. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lena (Miller) Lobdell of Whiting; son, Patrick Lobdell and his wife Tricia of Metuchen; 6 daughters: Patricia LeBert of Metuchen, Bonnie Darabos of Edison, Tena Laffey
and her husband William of Tinton Falls, Dorothy Coffin and her husband Keith of Macungie, Pennsylvania, LeeAnn Poko of Monroe Township, Joyce D'Alessandro and her husband Anthony of Oakland, NJ; 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers: Leroy and David Lobdell, William Grimeson; sister, Louise Blake; and several neices and nephews.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at 7:30 pm at FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 319 Amboy Ave., Metuchen, NJ 08840. Mourners will gather Thursday, January 13, at 12:15 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be at 2:00 pm in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Friends and family may call on Wednesday, January 12, from 5:00-8:00 PM.
