Orfilio Chaviano, 85, of Old Bridge, passed peacefully, with his children at his side, on Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital , New Brunswick.

He was born in Santa Clara, Cuba and had resided in Perth Amboy from 1975 until 1995 before moving to Old Bridge.

He had owned and operated the "Alicea Supermarket" at 1140 Broad St. in Newark for over 22 years.

Orfilio leaves behind his beloved wife of 56 years, Blanca E. Chaviano, his son Orfilio Chaviano, Jr. and his wife Mildred, of Manalapan, his daughter, Elizabeth Barclay and her husband Brian of Monroe Twp. her seven grandchildren, Tabitha, Daniella, Kayla, Aidan, Dylan, Emily, and Kelsy, and his great- grandson, Johan

Visitation will be on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 2 pm to 8 pm, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave. Perth Amboy, NJ 0886.

A funeral services will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 10 a.m.at the Flynn and son Funeral Home, interment will follow in Alpine Cemetery Perth Amboy.
