Olga (nee: Bondaruk) O'Brien, 88, of Metuchen, passed peacefully, with her family at her side on Saturday March 17, 2012, at the Haven Hospice Unit at JFK Medical Center, Edison.
Olga was born and raised in Perth Amboy, where she had resided until moving to Metuchen 55 years ago. A graduate of Perth Amboy High School with the Class of 1941, Olga was employed as an Executive Secretary with Alcan Building Products of Avenel for 18 years before retiring 24 years ago. She was also a member of the Metuchen Senior Citizens Club.
She was the devoted sister of the late, Mary Ubersax, Andrew Truhan and Steve Truhan and aunt of the late Emil Ubersax. Olga is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, John F. O'Brien; her beloved daughter, Maureen and her dear son-in-law, Allen Hart of Rahway; her two nephews, Richard and Robert Ubersax both of Hawaii; and her niece, Marion Hagerty, of southern New Jersey.
Cremation will be private, under the direction of the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, NJ.
