Norman Prager, 93, of Fords, passed peacefully on Monday, February 1, 2021, at the Center For Hope Hospice in Scotch Plains, NJ.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, raised in Jamaica, Queens, NY, and a former resident of Edison for 49 years, he has resided in Fords for the last 9 years.
He received his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from NYU.
He retired many years ago, after 40 years as an accountant for foreign correspondents, while working with the NY Times, in NY City.
He was an avid NY Football Giants fan, had a passion for gardening and bowling, enjoyed playing racket ball and poker and going to Atlantic City with his friends.
He was a snowbird, spending the winter months with his wife Doris in Florida and enjoyed traveling the world with her.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 59 years Doris, who died in April of last year, and his brother, Sidney.
Norman leaves behind his daughter; Susan and son Theodore, his twin grandchildren; Sarah and Zachary Pereira and his sister, Eleanor Prager.
Graveside services will be held at Beth Israel Memorial Park Woodbridge.
Services have been entrusted to the care of the Flynn and son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863.
