Norman Michael Michalsky, 82, of Fords, died Tuesday August 30, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family.

Norman was born on September 10, 1939 in Newark to the late Mary Kolesar and Joseph Michalsky. He attended St. Stephen's Catholic School and worked in construction as a carpenter for New Jersey Carpenters Local 254 for many years before his retirement. Norman proudly served an enlistment in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. In his free time, Norman was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed going to Atlantic City and traveling to Connecticut with his loving wife Patricia.

Norman married Patricia on September 12, 1964 in Pennsylvania in a Catholic ceremony. They had three children: Karen Millicker (Michael), Susan Roth and John Michalsky (Deborah).

Even though Norman was predeceased by many of his loved ones, he never forgot the memories with them.  He is survived by his wife Patricia of 58 years and his nine wonderful grandchildren: Anastasia Cappiello (Anthony Cappiello); Michael Millicker (Margaret Cole); Alexandra Millicker; ENS Elizabeth Millicker; ENS Victoria Millicker; Daniel Roth; Carrissa Leahy (Timothy Leahy); Seaerra Michalsky and PFC Noah Michalsky. He held dear his two cats, Blinky and Butch, who shared in Norman's younger nicknames.

A Memorial Mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday September 8, 2022 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Fords. Entombment will follow at 11:30 a.m. in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown. Arrangements have been entrusted to Flynn and Son Funeral Home, Fords, NJ.
