Norman Kubinak of Hopelawn, passed away on Wednesday, February 12th, 2014. He was 88years old. Born in South Amboy, he lived in Perth Amboy before moving toHopelawn in 1953. He worked for Westinghouse of Edison for over 45 years. He wasan army veteran in WWII. Norman was a lifelong fisherman and enjoyed playingpoker and tinkering around in his workshop. He had a dry sense of humor andenjoyed practical jokes. He was pre-deceased by his high school sweetheart andwife of 56 years, Mary (Savio) Kubinak, in 2004. His parents were Anna (Malik)Kubinak and Joseph P. Kubinak. He will be dearly missed by his children, MarkKubinak and his wife Marja, Paula (Kubinak) Ferraro and her husband Michael, and his five grandchildren Jay, Drew, and Leigh Ferraro, and Dana and Cara Kubinak.
Funeral services will be held at 9:15 AM on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords. A 10 AM Service of Requiem will be held at Christ Episcopal Church, 220 Main St., South Amboy.
Private cremation will be held. Visitation will be Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
