Norma Stein Witkin, 101, of Perth Amboy, died at home on Tuesday October 22, 2024.

Born in Trenton, NJ, on June 25, 1923, she resided in Perth Amboy since 1938.

A graduate of Perth Amboy High School, Class of 1941, she received her BS Degree from The Ohio State University in 1945.

She was a retired educator and a founding Board member of Perth Amboy Day Care 100, and volunteered her time on behalf of numerous local organizations over the course of eight decades, including No. 7 School PTA, Head Start, Perth Amboy YMHA, Hadassah, Jewish Federation, Congregation Beth Mordecai, The Perth Amboy Welfare Board, The Central Jersey Jewish Home for the Aged, Raritan Bay Medical Center, and Concerts by the Bay, serving as a board member of many of these organizations.

She was a member of  Congregation Temple Beth Mordecai in Perth Amboy.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, Nathan Witkin (2014) and her son Eric Witkin (2024).

She leaves behind her daughter, Jane Witkin (Charles Tutino) of Perth Amboy, her son, Marc Witkin of Middlebury, VT, her daughter-in-law, Regina Witkin of Harrison, NY, her four grandchildren; Daniel (Coco) and Sarah Witkin, and Emily and Will Tutino, her great-grandchildren Roman and Mickey Witkin, her nieces Laurie Witkin, Merle Milder, and Ellen Chenaux, and a nephew, Jeffrey Gutman.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 11 am. at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave. Perth Amboy, NJ 08861.

Interment, will follow in Beth Mordecai Cemetery, Perth Amboy, NJ.

Shiva will be observed at the family residence.
