Nicholas Zichichi, 84, of Edison, passed away at home on December 12, 2024. He was born on March 10, 1940, in Tunis, Tunisia. He had resided in Chatham, Hazlet and Waretown before settling in Edison. Nicholas was the Owner/Operator of Nicholas Zichichi Antiques, specializing in antique furniture restoration. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and taking out his boat, the Jersey Girl. Nicholas was also a fan of the Mets and Giants.

He was predeceased by his daughter, Sandra Liska, in 2022.

Nicholas is survived by his wife of 63 years, Vincenza (nee Donato) Zichichi, of Edison; two daughters, Mary Jane Leinberger, and her husband, Barney, of Roselle Park; and Diana Zichichi-Sanns, and her husband Chris, of Waretown; six grandchildren: Sydney, Zachary, Samantha, James, Amanda, and Jade; and two great-grandchildren, Sonny and Teddy.

Visitation will be on Thursday, December 19, 2024, from 4-7 pm at the Flynn and Son/ Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Cremation is private.
