Nicholas J. Rossi Sr., 83, of Edison, passed away on February 14, 2018, at JFK Hospital in Edison. He was born August 9, 1934, in West New York, NJ. Nicholas was a retired Truck Driver for Preston Trucking in Jersey City. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. He served in the US Navy on the USS Salem.  Nicholas enjoyed trips to Atlantic City, woodworking and was a fan of the Dodgers.

He was predeceased by his wife, Rosemarie Ross,i in 1996, and a sister, Mary Haag.

Nicholas is survived by four children: Nicholas J. Rossi, Jr, of Bushkill, PA; Michael Rossi and his wife, Diane, of Edison; Diane Zehnbauer, and her husband, Ron, of Roxbury; and Maryanna Alfano, and her husband, John, of Edison; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Abrams, and her husband James, of Bartonsville, PA.

Visitation will be Friday 4-8 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services will be Saturday 10:30 am at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Gertrude's Cemetery.
