Nathaniel Arrington had his sunrise on September 25, 1963, and his sunset on January 6, 2011, at his home in Perth Amboy. He was born in Louisburg, North Carolina and previously resided in Plainfield for 10 years before moving to Perth Amboy 33 years ago. He attended Perth Amboy public schools and was previously employed as a maintenance man. He was also a member of Catholic Charities.
Nathan was predeceased by his grandmother, Judy Mae Arrington, sister Carolyn Arrington, and his brother, James Donald. Left to cherish his memories are his mother, Bettie Lopez and step- father, Ralph Lopez of Perth Amboy; his sisters Marjorie Harrell and brother-in-law Jesse Harrell of Windsor, North Carolina; Latiesha Davis and her companion, William Williams of Fort Myers, Florida; and his brother, William H. Davis of Newark. There are a host of nieces and nephews including: Twanda of Raleigh, NC; Rashame, Ebony, Samuel, Brittany, and Theresa of Fort Myers, FL; Jesse, Jemere, and Josahlyn of Windsor NC; Amanda, Samatha, David, and Shadaya of Perth Amboy; a great-grandniece and 3 great-grandnephews. Nathan also had a special companion, Rose Price of Perth Amboy during his life on earth, and a very close and dear friend, Bob Wooton.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at 2:00 pm at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave., Perth Amboy, with Rev. Edward Starks officiating, following a visitation period from 12 noon to 2:00 pm. Cremation will be private.
