Nancy A. Vasil passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2025 at her home with her family by her side.

A life-long resident of Perth Amboy, she was the daughter of the late George and Ruth Peterson Harris.  Nancy was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School. Nancy was employed by Wachovia Bank, formerly the old National State Bank for 11 years. She then went on to become the administrative assistant to the director of the Emergency Department at Raritan Bay Medical Center for 25 years until her retirement in 1998.  She also volunteered as a senior tutor at the Ceres Center in Perth Amboy for several years.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her twin sister Shirley Kratzar, brother Leonard Harris, and her loving husband of 65 years Arthur.  She is survived by her children: Lisa M Vasil and Gregory Vasil; grandson Eric A Vasil and his wife Dana; twin great-granddaughters Cora and Olivia Vasil; and sister Pamela Hicks and her husband James.

Friends may call on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 from 3:00pm – 7:00pm at the Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords where Funeral Services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.The Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00am at Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church/Good Shepherd Parish in Hopelawn.  Following the Funeral Mass Nancy will be laid to rest next to her husband in Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy.
