Monica A. Berei, 85, entered into eternal rest Friday, October 15, 2021, at Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison, NJ.  She was born on May 10th,1938, in Perth Amboy, NJ.  She was the third of four daughters born to late parents, Joseph and Cecilia Bakaisa.  Monica, a Metuchen resident for over 50 years, was employed as a Dental Assistant and Office Manager before her retirement in 1990. Monica was a communicant of St. Helena's Parish in Edison. She loved cooking for her family and spending time with them making many memories of themed dinners and laughter.

Monica was pre-deceased by her husband, William Berei, in 2006.

Monica is survived by her three sisters: Mary Magdelan Kaczmarek of Metuchen; Cecilia Kerrigan of Iselin; and Dr. Marge Mingin of West Orange; her nephews: Peter Kaczmarek of Metuchen; Monsignor Joseph Kerrigan of Bound Brook; Michael Kerrigan of Iselin; Thomas Kerrigan of Iselin; and Dr. Gerald Mingin of Burlington, VT; her nieces: Mary Ann Rogan of Abington, PA; Susan Kerrigan of Princeton; Eileen Kerrigan of Edison; and Colleen Stoller of Whitehall, PA.

A memorial service to honor the memory of Monica will be held at a later date.
