Mitchell E. Chaneski, 82, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother passed away Wednesday December 7, 2011. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a viewing at the Flynn and Son/Koyen Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, N.J. on Saturday, December 10, 2011, from 9:30 to 10:30 am. The interment will be private.

Mitchell was born in Jersey City and served honorably in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. He operated his business, Mitchell's Typewriter Company, in Rahway for almost 30 years while residing in Clark with his wife and two sons. In recent years, he and his wife resided in Monroe Township before moving to Edison three years ago.

Mitchell is survived by his wife, Joan, to whom he was married for 57 years; his sons, Wayne and his wife Debbie and Steven and his wife Lee-Ann; his brothers, Robert and Raymond; his sister, Eileen; and his two grandchildren, Laura and Scott.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Salvation Army in his memory.
