Mirta Iris Rodriguez 65 of Perth Amboy entered into eternal rest, Friday March 20, 2015 at her home. She was born in Utuado, Puerto Rico and has resided in Perth Amboy for the past 50 years.

She was the head of housekeeping at Hospice Aging Care in Matawan before retiring, in 1999.

Mirta is survived by her three children Jamie Rios and Fiance Marisol Velez, Yolanda Cardenales and her husband Johnny, and Maria Isabel Mc Ardle and her husband Kevin, five grandchildren Anais and her husband Anthony, Jaleel, Veronnica, Carlos, and Jadelyn, four great grandchildren Dameon, Adrian, Aziana, and Anthony Jr. and three siblings, Jose Rodriguez, Doris Marrero, and Angel Rodriguez.

Funeral services will be on Thursday at 9:30 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy followed by a 10 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Fatima Church. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery. Visitation is Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
