Minnie Della Pietro, 94, of Fords, passed away on April 28, 2014, at JFK Hospital in Edison, NJ.  Born to Benjono and Philomena Straffi, she was a life-long resident of Fords.  In 1939 , Minnie helped her husband Frank to open Frank's Garage in Fords. She worked in the garage in many capacties, growing it into a thriving buneness. Minnie was a Homemaker.  She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace RC Church and enjoyed taking trips to Atlantic City.

Minnie was predeceased by her husband, Frank Della Pietro, in 1973 and her brothers, Angelo and Edward Straffi.  She is survived by her daughter, Dolores Straube and her husband, Lee, of Fords; her son, Frank Della Pietro, Jr. and his wife, Theresa, of Fords; her son, Benjamin Della Pietro and his wife, Joann, of Fords; 6 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; her sister, Georgiana Paone of Fords; and her caretaker, Joan Paisley.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2014, at 10:00 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863 followed by a Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace RC Church.  Visitation will be on Wednesday, April 30, 2014, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.  Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
