Michael P. Zanelli, 38, of Avenel, passed away on August 21, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Middletown, NY on January 21, 1987. Michael was a Chief Lineman for Con Edison in New York. He enjoyed going camping and hunting with his family in the Adirondacks. Michael played Dungeons and Dragons and was a fan of the NY Rangers and NY Jets.

He was predeceased by his mother, Sharon Zanelli.

Michael is survived by his wife, Stephanie A. Zanelli, of Avenel; a son, Michael A. Zanelli, of Longs, SC; two daughters, Stella Zanelli and Alana Santiago, of Avenel; a sister, Dineen Bull, and her husband, Jason of Washingtonville, NY; father, Paul A. Zanelli, of Staten Island; and two nieces, Shelby and Sophie.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 4-8 pm at the Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. A prayer service will be held at 7:30 on Sunday in the funeral home. Cremation is private.

Memorial contributions in Michael's name may be made to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, NYC.
