Michael H. Lasko, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and uncle unexpectedly passed away while visiting family in New Jersey on Sunday, January 19, 2025 in Neptune, NJ. He was 94 years of age.

Born and raised in Perth Amboy, NJ Michael was the only child of the late Michael J. and Victoria Clebak Lasko. Michael served for a short time in the US Navy, then went on to be inducted into the US Army where he served for 5 more years.  He went on to earn his Master's Degree in Education from Seton Hall University and spent most of his career as an art teacher with the Keansburg High School. He was also an accomplished piano tuner.  First and foremost, Michael cherished the time he spent with family. He was quite the jokester, even if some of the jokes were the same ones over again.  He enjoyed baseball, boating, and skiing. He loved to travel and was known to be quite the "smart dresser." You could often hear his favorite music from Frank Sinatra being played on the radio in the house and in the car.

Michael is survived by his loving companion, (then eventually wife), of 47 years Linda Bartok with whom he lived in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  He will also be greatly missed by his children: Theresa Lasko, her husband Robert Faust, Michelle Klein and her husband Peter, and Mark and his wife Leanne; his four grandchildren: Ryan Desmond, Michael, Matthew and Andrew Klein. He will be especially missed by Linda's nieces, nephews and their spouses whom he was especially close: Jill and Michael Carlin, Jennifer and Michael Paccione, and Todd and Theresa Becker.

Friends may call on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 3:00pm – 7:00pm at the Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ where services will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2024 at 10:30am.  Interment will follow in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Perth Amboy.
