Obituary of Michael P. Kibala


Michael P. Kibala, 63, of Edison, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 at his home. Mr. Kibala was a lifelong resident of Edison. He was employed as a mold specialist by Insurance Restoration Specialist in East Brunswick for fifteen years before retiring in 2008. Michael was predeceased by his beloved wife Diane Smith Kibala in 2006, his mother Esther Kibala and also his brother Stephen Kibala.

He was an avid Steelers fan and a talented athlete.

He is survived by his son, Evan Kibala of Edison, his two daughters, Cori J. Matusek and husband Nick of Lodi and Haley Kibala of Edison, his father Steve Kibala also of Edison, his grandson Austin and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Wednesday 6:30 pm at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Private cremation services will follow. Visitation hours will be held Wednesday from 4 - 7 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local animal shelter.
