Michael Higgins, 55, of Edison died March 8, 2012, at home. Born August 17, 1956, he was a life-long resident of Edison. Michael retired from the United States Post Office as a Supervisor. He graduated Edison High School, Class of 1974. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Edison and enjoyed riding motorcycles and fishing. He was a veteran of the US Army.

Michael was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Higgins, and his brother, Tracy Higgins. He is survived by his son, Joseph Higgins of Edison; his daughters: Stacey Higgins of Edison, and Dana Popola of Fords; his grandson, Michael Popola; and his brothers, Richard Higgins of Tuckerton, and Charles Higgins of Piscataway.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, from 7:00-9:00 pm. Services will begin at 8:30 pm from the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 319 Amboy Avenue, Metuchen, NJ 08863. Cremation will be private.
