Michael J. Filo's Obituary
Michael J Filo, 88 of Manchester NJ , passed peacefully on Sunday August 1, 2021 at home.
He was born in Newark, NJ, and was formerly of the Menlo Park Terrace Section of Woodbridge Twp, before relocating to Manchester in 2001.
He proudly served his country in the U.S Marine Corps.
A devout catholic all his life, he was a communicant of St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Lakehurst.
Michael retired 6 years ago after over 25 years as a Certified Public Accountant with Warren George Inc. in Jersey City.
He was predeceased by his two beloved brothers, William and Charles Filo; and his parents, Charles and Elizabeth Filo.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 63 years, Carol A. Filo; his four beloved children: Michael J Filo, Jr. and his wife, Susan, of Hamilton Square; Kathleen DeMarco of Monmouth Junction; Kenneth J. Filo of Manchester; and Karen Valek and her husband, Sean, of St. John's, FL; h
is four cherished grandchildren: Christina, Gina, Travis and Tyler; a beloved great-granddaughter, Skylar; and many nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Liturgy will take place at Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords on Thursday, August 5, 2021, at 10:30 am. Inter
ment will follow in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
