Obituary

Michael Farinich, 90, passed away on June 11, 2012 at his home in Ft. Pierce, FL.

Born and raised in Perth Amboy, he was a 1941 graduate of Perth Amboy High School. He proudly served in the US Navy during World War II. Michael was a lifelong employee of the Chevron Company in Perth Amboy. He was avidly involved in local politics, and longtime resident of Edison before relocating to Florida in 1987.

Michael was a long time member of the Elks, VFW and the American Legion both here and in Florida.

He was preceded in death by his son Gary in 2007. Michael is survived by his granddaughters Denise Skibar and her husband Peter of Edison, Dawn Clemente and her husband Pasquale of Monroe Township. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren: Bailey Skibar, Anthony and Nicholas Clemente, and 2 sisters Ann Kosmyna of MO, and Margaret Huie of CA.

Services will take place at the Flynn & Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ on Friday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 pm.
