Michael P. Donohue, 62, of Fords, passed away on August 28, 2023, at JFK Medical Center. He was born in East Orange on July 19, 1961. Michael was a Letter Carrier for the US Post Office in Iselin. He was a graduate of Woodbridge High School. Michael was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace Church and a former member of the Knights of Columbus in Carteret. He enjoyed playing darts, birdwatching, and tending to his fish tanks.

Michael was predeceased by his father, John Donohue.

He is survived by his mother, Joan Donohue, of Fords; a sister, Colleen Donohue and her partner, Robert Minschwaner, of Doylestown, PA; a brother, Matthew Donohue and his life partner, Lorraine Shiminsky, of Dunellen; two nieces, Meghan Hennigan and Amanda Donohue; a nephew, Matthew Hennigan; and Michael's longtime companion, Donna Sysock.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 2, 2023, 10 am-12 noon, at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Saturday at 12 noon. Interment will follow in Saint Gertrude Cemetary, Colonia, NJ
