Obituary

Michael D'Albo, 78, of Edison, passed away at home on April 2, 2017. He was born January 4, 1939, in San Costantino Albanese, Italy. Michael had resided in Edison for the last 36 years; prior to that, he lived in Elizabeth. He was the Owner/ Operator of Mikes's Barber Shop in Irvington. He enjoyed spending time with his family and having them over for barbecues. He also enjoyed going on cruises.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, Salvatore D,Albo and Caterina Ciancia; three sisters: Lina D'Albo, Antoinetta D'Albo, and Celestina Fucci; and brother, Giuseppe D'Albo.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Antoinette (nee DiCosmo) D'Albo of, Edison; two daughters, Caterina Sromovsky and her husband, Stephen, of Jackson; Lisa Higgins and her husband, Jerome, of East Brunswick; two sisters, Carolina Cerullo, and her husband Mario, of Monmouth Junction and Tilda Funari and her husband, Angelo, of Manalapan; and three grandchildren: Angela, Michael, and Jessica.
Visitation will be 8-10 am on Wednesday at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863. Funeral services begin 10 am, Wednesday in the funeral home. Followed by a 10:30 am Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church in Fords. Entombment will be in the Rosedale Mausoleum in Linden.
