Michael Joseph Cumiskey, Jr.'s Obituary
Michael Joseph Cumiskey, Jr., age 75 of Edison, died on Friday in Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. He was born in Newark, NJ and had resided in Edison for the past 47 years.
Michael was a Police Officer in South Plainfield, retiring in 1996 after more than 25 years. He was a communicant of St. Francis Cathedral in Metuchen and a member of PBA Local #100. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict.
He was predeceased by his wife, Emma who died in 2008.
Surviving are his son, Michael J. Cumiskey, III of Edison, his daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Jeff Schenker of Walkertown, NC and his six grandchildren, Brycen, Michael, Darrian, Sarah, Tevin, and Sophia.
