Mercedes R. Gomez (nee: Lazo), 47, Passed away on December 20, 2019, surrounded by her family at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Somerset.

She was born in Elizabeth and had resided in North Plainfield for the last 7 years.
Mercedes was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband of 6 years, Ismael; her son, Julio; grandchildren, Angel and Aaisaic; her parents, Manuel Sr. and Ruth Lazo; her brothers, Manny Jr. and Ricky and several nephews.

Viewing will be from 5-8 PM on Thursday, December 26, 2109 at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Ave, Perth Amboy.
Services will begin on Friday at 8:45 AM with a 9:30 AM Funeral Liturgy at St. Joseph Church in Carteret. Interment will follow at Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy.
