Melissa Ann (Rebeck) Pereira of Fords, Passed away on July 19, 2023. She was 49. Born in Perth Amboy, Melissa graduated from Woodbridge High School and attended Penn State University in Scranton, PA. In addition to raising two children, she was a paraprofessional at Colonia High School in Woodbridge.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Matthew Pereira; children: Shane & Danielle Pereira; parents: Elizabeth (Schlasta) & John Rebeck; sister, Darlene Rebeck, Niece Samantha Rebeck; brother-in-law, Peter Tyszkiewicz and Melisa’s Godfather and uncle, Reverend Robert Rebeck.

A memorial visitation will be held at Flynn and Son / Mitruska Funeral Homes, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm followed by a memorial service at the conclusion of the visiting hours. Cremation was private.
