Mcsteve Robert
Pierre
April 2, 1976 – January 27, 2026
McSteve Robert Pierre, born April 2, 1976, in Newark, New Jersey, was the beloved son of the late Guy Robert Pierre and Ginette Pierre. From childhood, his bright smile and deep dimples could light up any room. He attended Sacred Heart Elementary School, graduating with honors in 1990, and continued his education at St. Benedict's Preparatory School. There, he formed a lifelong brotherhood with a close-knit group of friends who proudly called themselves the "Boones Boys." After graduating from St. Benedict's in 1994, Steve went on to attend Rutgers University.
A devoted sports enthusiast, Steve poured his energy and passion into every team he loved. While at St. Benedict's, he served as manager of the Men's Gray Bees Basketball Team, supporting players and coaches with enthusiasm and dedication. He was a loyal fan of the New York Giants, New York Mets, New York Knicks, and the Syracuse Orange. Competitive by nature, he crowned himself the "King of Spades," convinced—often correctly—that no one could beat him at the card table.
Steve was a fierce protector of the people he loved. Family and friends knew him by many affectionate nicknames—Steve, Stevie Ray, Stevie, Supreme, Sincere and Cream—each reflecting a different facet of his vibrant personality. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and believed deeply in forging his own path. Working for someone else felt limiting to him, and he took pride in finding ways to succeed on his own terms. Steve took great pride in being Haitian American. He often wore clothing featuring the Haitian Flag and proudly waved the flag in posed pictures.
His humor was unmatched. Steve loved telling jokes, sharing stories, and filling every gathering with laughter through his charm and quick wit. Music was another of his great joys, especially hip hop. He was a devoted fan of 2PAC and Boot Camp Clik, often playing their music as the soundtrack to his days.
In 1996, Steve met the love of his life, Kathy. What began as a friendship grew into a deep and enduring bond. They married on April 6, 2019, creating a union that remained unbreakable until his final breath on January 27, 2026. From their love came their daughter, Mahogany, who completed their family.
Steve leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. He was predeceased by his father, Guy Pierre, and his sister, Jennyfer Pierre. He is survived by his devoted wife, Kathy Pierre; his mother, Ginette Pierre; his children, Shamar Hill, Tyrik Pierre, Destiny Pierre, Mahogany Pierre; his step-sons, Bryce and Kobi Morciglio; and countless family members and friends who will forever cherish him.
May he rest in God's loving peace.
