Matilde Estevez (nee Portorreal), 73, of Parlin died Saturday, August 7, 2010, at the Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy.

Born November 11, 1936, in the Dominican Republic, Matilde was formerly of New York City where she resided before moving to Parlin five years ago. She was a seamstress for Abuchar NY in New York City.

Mrs. Estevez is survived by her husband of 53 years, Pedro Estevez; her 2 children: Angela Estevez with whom she resided, and Ramon Estevez of Morganville and her 4 grandchildren: Genie, Raymond, Gina, and Omar.

Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, August 11, 2010, at 10:00 AM from FLYNN AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy, followed by a 10:30 AM Funeral Litury at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church in Perth Amboy. Interment will follow in Alpine Cemetery Perth Amboy. Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 10, 2010 from 4-9 PM at the funeral home.
