Matilda (Tillie) Lavin, 90, of Perth Amboy died Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Brighton Gardens in Edison.
Tille was born May 24, 1921, in Homestead, PA, and resided in Perth Amboy for the past 80 years. She was employed by the N.J. Girls Coat Factory for 25 years and then worked at Ronson before retiring in 1983.
She was predeceased by her parents, Jesus and Emilia Aguero; a brother, Bonificio; a sister, Nancy Stumpf; and her husband of 66 years, Paul. She is survived by two sisters: Susan Sanchez and Vi Barquin of Woodbridge, VA; two daughters: Linda Lavin Luden of Perth Amboy and Joan Lavin Hondowicz and her husband Fred of Plano, TX; four grandchildren: Jacqueline, David and his wife Rebecca, Brian and his wife Audrey, and Douglas and his wife Vanessa; five great-grandchildren: Emilia, Stefano, Dylan, Daniela, and Matthew.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 14, 2011, at 10:30 am at the Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords. Entombment will follow at Good Shepherd Mausoleum at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia. Visitation is Sunday, November 13, 2011, from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm.
