Mary Lou Zec-Gasser, 77, of South Toms River, NJ fell asleep in the Lord on August 1, 2024. She was a dedicated and caring mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was loved by all.

Mary Lou was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, Class of 1964, a faithful member of the former Holy Spirit Parish, the Sodality and active member of Holy Spirit School Parent Teacher Association which allowed her to be involved in her children's early education. She valued the Catholic school education.

Later in life, she moved to South Toms River where she could be close to her daughter. She enjoyed walking the Seaside boardwalk and loved her dog Dillon very much. She was a hardworking and diligent employee of the former Bed, Bath, and Beyond in Brick for 8 years.

She was predeceased by her parents, John Joseph and Mary Delores Zec.

Mary Lou is survived by her brother, Reverend John Zec. Her sons, Stephen and John, and daughter, Stephanie. Grandchildren, Kelly, Anthony, Randy, Jason, Elliott, and Thomas. Great grandchildren, Jaxon and Cooper.  Husband, Kenneth Gasser.

Please join us in celebrating her life on Thursday, August 8, 2024, between 4 PM – 8 PM at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ 08863.  Funeral services will be held at 10 AM on Friday, August 9, 2024, followed by a 10:30 AM Funeral Liturgy at Holy Trinity Church, Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish, Perth Amboy.  Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Perth Amboy.
