Obituary of Mary Yaremczak


Mary Yaremczak, 93, of Edison, passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 at The Woodlands-LTC nursing home in Plainfield. Mrs. Yaremczak was born in Perth Amboy to the late Philip and Palahia (Hladun) Stutski and had lived in Fords before moving to Edison ten years ago. She was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker.

Mary was a member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption in Perth Amboy, the Seniors Club of the church and also the St. Anne's Society. Mary also made pierogies for the church's Pierogy Sale for many years.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph in 1987, and also by four brothers and one sister.

Mary is survived by her son, Joseph Yaremczak and wife Elizabeth of Port Murray, NJ, her daughter, Donna Kuchtyak and husband Kenneth of Edison, three grandchildren, Christian, Amy and Jennifer and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday 11:30 am at the Mitruska Funeral Home, Inc., 531 New Brunswick Ave., Fords. Followed by a mass at 12:00 noon in the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Assumption in Perth Amboy. Private cremation services will follow. Visitation hours will be held Saturday from 10.30 am - 11.30 am.
