Mary Stachera, 88 years of age, of the Menlo Park Terrace section of Woodbridge Twp., passed peacefully at her home on Thursday, August 10, 2023.

She was born on July 6, 1935, to her parents, John and Catherine Cullen, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, she was formerly of the "Down Neck" section of Newark before moving to the Menlo Park Terrace Section of Woodbridge Twp. where she had resided for many years.

She was a graduate of St. James High School in Newark, Class of 1954.

She was predeceased by her parents, and her beloved husband, Edward Stachera who died in 1976, and her beloved son, Edward Stachera, who died in 1981.  She was also predeceased by her brothers, John "Jack" Cullen in 2015 and Edward "Butch" Cullen in 2022.

She leaves behind her beloved son, John Paul Stachera with whom she resided, her siblings; Michael Cullen of Basking Ridge, Margaret "Peggy" Adubato of Cranford, Joseph Cullen and his wife Julia, of Barnegat, NJ and Kathleen Cullen also of Barnegat, NJ and her sister-in-law Jean Cullen of North Carolina.  Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held in Mary Stachera's memory on Thursday, August 17, 2023, from 3 pm to 7 pm at Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords, NJ 08863 with a prayer service beginning at 5 pm.
